These terms govern your use of DeArtifact, the audio repair plugin and Standalone app from SystemTechs Audio Lab. Please read them before you download, buy or use the software.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SystemTechs Audio Lab (“we”, “us”, “our”). They cover DeArtifact, including the VST3 plugin, the AU plugin on macOS, the Standalone app, and any updates and related documentation (together, the “Software”). By downloading, installing, buying or using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. If you use the Software for a company or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
DeArtifact is offered as a free edition (“Free”) and a paid edition (“Pro”). Free includes the VST3 plugin and Standalone app with every feature in the full version, with restricted exports. Pro removes all restrictions and includes the Advanced Fingerprint Engine and free updates for life. The features, limits and price of each edition are as described on our website when you download or buy.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for your own music and audio production, personal or commercial. A Pro licence belongs to the person or organisation that bought it, and licence keys are personal and must not be shared. We keep all rights not expressly granted to you. The Software is licensed to you, not sold.
You must not:
Prices are shown on our website, and the price you pay is the price displayed at checkout. Launch or promotional pricing may be changed or withdrawn at any time for future purchases. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, whose own terms apply. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, unless they are included in the displayed price.
The Software is a digital product. Unless the law requires otherwise, or we state otherwise when you buy, purchases are non-refundable once your licence has been delivered. We encourage you to try Free first to check that DeArtifact suits your material and your setup. This section doesn’t affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
We may release updates, fixes and new versions. Pro includes free updates for life, which means for as long as we continue to offer and support the Software. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, formats or supported platforms where reasonably necessary, for example because of changes to operating systems, DAWs or plugin standards. We don’t promise that the Software will work with every DAW, operating system or hardware configuration.
You keep all rights in the audio you process with DeArtifact. We don’t claim ownership of your audio or of the results. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use and process that audio, including complying with the terms of any AI music generator, stem-separation tool or other service you used to create it.
DeArtifact is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Suno, Udio, Demucs or any other third-party service. Their names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
You agree to use the Software lawfully and to follow any rules about disclosing AI-generated content that apply to you, or to the platforms, distributors or services where you publish your music. You must not use the Software to misrepresent where music came from where disclosure is required, or to infringe anyone else’s rights.
DeArtifact reduces artifacts such as shimmer, soft transients and bleed. It can’t restore detail that was never in the audio, and results vary from track to track. We don’t guarantee that the Software will make any particular recording sound better, or that any recording processed with it will be accepted by, or pass any check performed by, any platform, distributor or detection tool.
The Software, including its code, algorithms, design, documentation, names and logos, is owned by SystemTechs Audio Lab or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms give you a right to use the Software but no ownership of it or of any of our intellectual property.
We handle personal information, such as purchase and licence details and any messages you send us, only as needed to provide the Software, process your purchase and give support, and in line with applicable data protection law.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent the law allows, SystemTechs Audio Lab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, audio files, projects, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Software. You are responsible for keeping backups of your projects and audio files.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Software will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim arose or, if you only use Free, will be nil. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that can’t be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover us for claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, or from audio you process or publish using the Software in breach of someone else’s rights.
These Terms apply until they are ended. You can end them at any time by uninstalling the Software and deleting your copies. We may suspend or end your licence if you break these Terms. When your licence ends, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after termination will do so.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with its “last updated” date. If you keep using the Software after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. Where a change is significant, we will try to give reasonable notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SystemTechs Audio Lab is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive authority over any dispute, except that any mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence still applies and may allow you to bring a claim there.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact SystemTechs Audio Lab through the contact details on our website.
